Braydon Nielsen ‘BOOYAH!’ Memorial Page

Braydon Nielsen – 36 years old, died on September 3rd 2013 when he was riding his bike and was hit from behind by a car. Braydon leaves behind a beautiful wife and 4 beautiful children.  Braydon was a man that wouldn’t quit. He was an inspiration to everyone he came in contact with and he personified the IRONMAN triathlon motto to never give up.

THANK YOU to all who came out and supported Braydon & Melissa Nielsen. Thanks to Jim Speth for the pictures that will serve us even when our memories don’t.

Memorial Book

We are putting together memorial books for Braydon’s wife, Melissa, and each of Braydon’s four young children.  We want them all, especially the younger kids, to know what kind of man their father and husband was to the people in his life and to be able to share with them some special memories that we each have with Braydon.  Your story can be as long or as short as you would like it to be.  Please  email it as a text document that can be copied/pasted into the publishing software (such a Microsoft word).  Include with your submission your name and, if you would like, a photo of you with Braydon (jpg preferably).

These will be nice, bound, hardcover color books and we will be printing five of them (one for each child plus Melissa). If you would like to donate to the printing of these books, please let us know via email at

Submissions due by Saturday, September 21. That gives you two and a half weeks to put your thoughts down and find a picture.
